Tibbs Custom Saddles

We, LD (Larry Don) and Kristen Tibbs began our leatherwork together in Las Cruces, New Mexico and then moved to the small rural community of Fort Sumner, New Mexico in 2005 where we have had a shop ever since. Building Full Custom saddles with custom tooling and stamping all the way to custom purses, belts, chaps, travel bags, shaving kit bags, gear bags for rodeo contestants, and many many other items we work to supply what the customer needs and wants.

The saddle shop offers full repairs of all types on saddles and cowboy gear to a complete new build. Using top quality trees (Bowden Saddle Trees) the saddles are meant to last a lifetime and be comfortable for the rider as well as the horse. When talking about full custom builds we mean it. Choices in all aspects of the build all the way down to the color of the thread used in stitching is available. (All saddles trees can be completely custom built as well.)

The repair portion of the shop specializes in being convenient for the working cowboy. We keep supplies on hand to get the job done quickly and timely.

Not only do we build and repair saddles we also build almost anything out of leather, canvas, or other materials. Custom Belts, chaps, purses, wallets, fire fighter gear, travel bags etc. can be created, customized and made to the customers wishes, wants, needs and specifications.
